Dying Light 2 shows fight system in gameplay

Dying Light 2 has given an insight into the combat system with a new gameplay trailer. A mechanism is particularly focused and makes the fight above all more dynamic. Previously, there was a small teaser for the pretty optics of the survival game with the new RayTracing technology (RTX).

What was to see? During the Xbox stream for Gamescom 2021, the Dying Light 2 developer team has shown a gameplay video for the combat system and the gameplay of the game. There it can be seen how the protagonist is moved by the city by the city, jumping from wall to wall or swings with ropes in window.

In the fight itself, above all, melee weapons can be seen: improvised impact rings made of bicycles, chain and machetes. In doing so, your character seems to have a degree of superpowers, as they jump higher and strike so hard that opponents simply fall over in the area.

Especially emphasized in the video the Vault mechanics. You can bring opponents into serrated by parades and then use them to take them from them and to throw them to the ground or attack other opponents of the group. Especially in the fight against humans, that should be useful that occurs more frequently in Dying Light 2.

The special thing about Raytracing are the lighting and the shadows. Raytracing is roughly responsible for the calculation of light in the game and improves them. This means: With RTX you have pretty reflections and more realistic shadows, which ensures a better look especially in detail.

The short RTX teaser has already been shown before the GamesCom appearance. The video always shows comparisons of the game with the raytracing switched on and without the new technology. Not to be seen is gameplay with action like melee or the only firearm. This came later.
